Santa

We had the priveldge of attending a fun Christmas party our friends the Amadors put on with none other than SANTA! The kids had a great time singing Christmas Carols with Santa, sitting on his lap and of course telling him what they wanted for Christmas. Santa brought each child a small toy which my kids were all thrilled with. This year my boys were all about asking for video games but Lucy asked for a sewing machine, which just about made her mother giddy. Thanks for the great party Amadors! The kids had a blast and we enjoyed the magic of the evening. I had my camera on some funky setting that night so everyone has horrible red eye. Oops.

Tech Junkies

We had a fabulous time visiting Tyler's family in Nevada for Thanksgiving. All of Tyler's siblings, except one, were able to be their with their families. It is always so fun to be together. We spent a lot of time playing games, eating, visiting, eating, just enjoying one another's company and eating. It was a great Thanksgiving and I am grateful for my in-law generosity in letting us decend on their home.

My father in-law, David, is a tech junkie. If there is a new tech thing out their he has one. He owned the first gaming system that came out, the first cell phone (it was so big they had to carry it in a backpack), the first laptop, and so on. Let just say, David loves his techi toys. My Blaine is the most tech savvy of all of my kids. He learned how to run the DVD player before any of my other kids and he runs the IPod like a pro. Over Thanksgiving David and Blaine spent a lot of time playing the IPod together. Sometimes they would sit together each with their own IPod but most of the time grandpa would patiently watch Blaine play. I had to laugh at the way they choose to bond, but they both enjoyed the time together so who I am to judge?

Lucy's 1st Grade School Program

School programs are so much. I loved being in them as a child and I love going to watch the ones my children are in. This year the 1st grade did a Thanksgiving program. Lucy was adorable as a little pilgram girl singing all of her Thanksgiving songs. She is such an animated little person that everything she does is done with gusto. Plus the benifit of being the shortest 1st grader in the school is that you are always in the front row so mom can get a picture. :)

She is the cutie with her hands on her hips.
